Need some advice on .224 diameter 55gr moly coated bullets. Im hearing good and bad about them. Is it hard to clean out of the barrel etc.
It is hard to clean out of barrels. It was really popular in the 90’s. Reducing pressure. Reducing fouling. Extending barrel life. Increasing velocity. These were all of moly coating claims to fame. It turned out to be a big dirty pain in the ass that was more hassle than helpful. The good thing is that you can throw all those bullets in a tumbler and clean it off of them, then you have some good bullets to shoot.

Messy,,,,just powder coat or us plated....or size properly and use a good lube and keep at proper velocity.
